Cognitive Conditioning: Enhancing the Mind – Body Connection
Have you ever experienced self-doubt or recurrent negative thoughts that interfere with your performance? Cognitive Conditioning can teach you the mental endurance to support the mind-body connection. As an athlete, I have benefitted from the skills and strategies learned in Cognitive Conditioning.
Cognitive Conditioning integrates Cognitive Behavioral Theory and Mindfulness Approaches in order to promote an active, self-conscious effort in enhancing one’s mental capacity for athletic, or performance, achievement. My approach is holistic in regarding athletic success as an integration of physical endurance/training and mental stamina. Changing one’s paradigm and thought patterns is essential to moving beyond the “status quo,” the “brick wall” or the plateau that affect your success. This program is about making change. Cognitive Conditioning is essential to athletic or performance growth and continued success.
“Mental training” is the focus of Cognitive Conditioning. Peak Performance demands keen mental acuity. Through the learning process, we will also explore new ways of acting and reacting to athletic problems and challenges that have limited performance in the past.
